Unalakleet's Fall Storm Aftermath

Unalakleet, AK had no ice during the forecasted fall storm surge for Sunday, November 12. Division of Geological and Geophysical Surveys (DGGS) provided a projected maximum surge height listed in the borderline yellow and dark purple color index for 11/12 at 4:13 AM. Using a hand-held Garmin Montana 650t unit, I took photos of the tideline in three areas: one, near fish processing plant looking toward the baler facility at about 1:26 PM; two, near baler facility looking towards the fish processing plant at about 2:05 PM; and lastly, near the revetment (1:47 PM) looking toward the school and from the school looking toward the revetment (1:58 PM). With the snow, it was difficult to discern the tideline. In addition to the tidelines, I documented my tracks using the Garmin unit adjusting the track setting to log about every 5 feet, which was saved as a GPS Exchange (GPX) Format. From there, I imported the information into Google Earth Desktop as a KML track.
