Alaska has experienced a series of seal mortalities in June that were concentrated in the northern part of the state. This dead seal was found on the bluff near a public park in Anchorage.

This is the third observation LEO has received of dead seals this year. On June 10th, dead seals were found near Kotlik, and on June 25th stranded seal pups were found near Shishmaref. Additional seals were found along the coast of the Norton Sound, Northwest Arctic, and North Slope regions.
