Tom Okey, LEO BC Coordinator wrote:

This appears to be the fourth observation of Brown Booby (Sula leucogaster) in the waters of British Columbia, Canada, based on other observations reported on the LEO Network and observations on iNaturalist and BC Rare Bird Alerts. All of these observations are linked to the present observation. The most northern observation of a Brown Booby on iNaturalist was at Sitka, Alaska on 2 November 2018 (Lat: 57.05031; Lon: -135.330248).

The most northern observation of S. lucogaster on the eBird database was an observation and photo of a single individual on 12 August 2017 by Sabrina Cobb in the Gulf of Alaska, 120 km E of Marmot Island (off Kodiak Island, Alaska).

Josh Silberg suggested a subspecies identification in the discussion of this tweet: "So cool! Looks like Forster’s subspecies (s.l. plotus) from the central Pacific rather than Brewster’s from Mexico and California"
