Traffic sputtered to a stop last night. Started raining yesterday afternoon and rained sporadically through the night. We have ice rinks this morning.

Rain in the winter. First time I saw that occur was January 1982. The horse range was overrun with rabbits. Within a week once the cold came back they were all gone. The death rain took ptarmigan, birds, moose and sheep. We lost 6 horses in spite of my best efforts.

That spring in May we had clouds of ravens. And the mountain across the way brought down literally dozens and dozens of sheep remains in snow slides.

Heartbreaking and also a window into the future. I began exploring the idea of warming seriously. That's when I found the Medicine People Prophesies of a time of two suns, and the return to Savannah like planet.
