Flooding in Grand River, Ontario

Significant flooding in the Grand River Watershed occurred during the month of February where annual average temperatures are below freezing. This high temperature resulted in a large and quick melt of the snow which caused significant flooding through the watershed. These high temperatures and rain throughout the middle of the winter seem to becoming more common which can cause flooding and damage to property and infrastructure.
