Peace River, Taylor, British Columbia

Observation: Low water levels on the Peace River. - Martha Funk, Fort St. John, British Columbia.

Comment by LEO BC Coordinator: The Lower Peace River Region stood out across British Columbia in Late may 2017 with a drought designation of 'Level 2 - Dry' (Figure 1). Drought conditions as of 3 August 2017 were considered to be 'Level 2 - Dry' across much of the BC interior, including in both Peace River regions, and on Haida Gwaii and Vancouver Island regions, and 'Level 3 - Very Dry' in the Middle Fraser region (Figure 2). At the time of this comment, the Historical Hydrometric Data for BC was not responding. - Tom Okey, Ocean Integrity Research and the University of Victoria.
