Kuskokwim River flooding causes concern in community
OBSERVATION: Ice break-up occurred on May 7, 2012 and stopped that same day. The ice moved again on May 8 and water levels were rising. On May 10 the water levels begin to recede. We worry about flooding and damages to property, equipment, personal belongings, high water reaching the dump site and sewer lagoon. John Parka, Village of Lower Kalskag
