Observation: Juvenile Pacific sandlance (Ammodytes personatus) and juvenile Pacific herring (Clupea pallasii) were observed in fully integrated schools in the Spring Bay area in Saanich. Individuals of both species appeared to range from 8-10cm in length. Schools were observed throughout the bay area, all consisting of >500 individuals. Observation occurred at 1:00PM during a 1.8m tide.
